Music Magazine Blog 2 Target Audience

Smash hits! are targeted at female pre-teens as they can aspire to be like there idols that usually appear on the front cover of the fortnightly magazine.
A typical reader of Smash hits!:
The demographics of a Smash hits! reader would consist of being a female between the ages of 8-12. Which would listen to artists such as McFly, Rihanna, P!nk, Shayne Ward. They would be a pre-teen that would have a middle-class background. The cost of the magazine costs £2 so pre-teens should be able to afford the price of the magazine for a 'pocket-money fare'. There interest in music would consist of dance, rhythm and blues, pop genres of music.
Some of the psychographics of a typical Smash hits! would consist of the attitudes towards others on the community. Pop music doesn't really have a certain stereotype or fashion. Whereas rythmn and blues consists of "black music", which implies voilence and crime. The attitude towards other may be less polite. The values in life are very personal into the lyrics, relating to a close relative or partner.
Lifestyle changes could be the stereotypical clothing of "hoodies" and "trackies" worn by rthymn and blue artist Jay-Z and Eminem.
